Kent & Essex Mutual Insurance Company offers fire extinguishers for sale to our policyholders at a reduced price and will pay for recharging these units when necessary.

Be sure you have a smoke detector on each level near the sleeping area. Change the batteries and test regularly. It is the law.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors                                                                                                                           It is recommended that a Carbon Monoxide detector be placed on every floor of your home.  Carbon Monoxide is an odourless  but deadly gas that mayescape from your heating appliances. Sewer Back Up
All sump pumps should be checked regularly.

We offer a rebate program for sump pump emergency backup.

Kent & Essex will pay a rebate of 20% of the cost of a backup system for your sump pump. Maximum payment is $200.00 and applied to both the unit and installation of the system.

• Both battery and water powered systems qualify.
• A generator designated to the insured dwelling also qualifies.
• You must have sewer back up coverage to qualify so check your policy or call your broker if in doubt

To Receive Your Rebate:
• Take a copy of your receipt including installation
• Take a copy of the first page of the instruction manual
• Include your policy number.
